    But it's answer is(2x^2-5)(6x+1)

    I already did the third, flame: 0 is less than or equal to x. x is less than or equal to 4.

    Then what you were given is wrong because it's trying to get you to factor four terms but that doesn't work right if the 2nd isn't to the 2nd power

    Because I was taught to find two definite answers and it's assumed that anything in between works.

    ^^^Very wrong. You said "x= 8 or -1". That means that assumption isn't valid anymore.

    But besides that, yes your answer of 8>x>-1 is correct. I solved it incorrectly. (Misread it)

    No. That is still wrong.

    8>x>-1 is correct.

    You could also do this in set notation or graph it. But using AND or OR in this question would be wrong.

    no, this was on a review ditto for a test tomorrow and my answers didn't match up with what was on the answer key... but Laluna is an poor teacher and makes alot of mistakes so i thought i should check with you guys.

    that would become 3x>1 right? how does that reduce to 7/3? (I wish i dint sleep in class two years ago.)
