I forgot to mention inequalities and absolute values ... might wanna try those too ... and rationalizing, complteting the square, exponents, radicals, simplifying ... a few more problems:
rationalize the denominator:

simplify:
(27x^3)^2/3
x+1 x^2-2x+1
----- * --------
x-x^2 x^2-1
*Note* the above problem is a fraction .. it's the same thing as x+1 / x-x^2 * x^2-2x+1 / x^2-1
solve for x
2x^2 + 1 = 4x
And forget that last problem I gave you .. that's actually more related to calculus than algebra ... here's a better problem related to functions:
find the domain of:
f (x) = 15 / x-3
or

when you rationalize a problem like this you multiply both the numerator and denominator by the conjugate of the denominator ... the conjugate for the denominator for this problem is √x + 1 .. since the original denominator was √x - 1 .. the conjugate is basically the opposite of the original term ...
iut's 27x raised to the third power in paranthesis all raised to 2/3 .. if you haven't taken it just forget it ...

yeah you're right so far ... except you forgot to put the x after the 4 .. it's 2x^2-4x+1=0 not 2x^2-4+1=0 ... try using the quadratic formula for that ...

I thought you had to use FOIL, as in (√x + 1)(√x + 1)...when multiplying such things?
