I'm determined to go to the New World with a Muslim faction this time! I was able to do it as Spain before...but I believe they make it very difficult for a Muslim faction to get the tech to go.

Goal: Conquer New World.
Faction: Egypt
Campaign: Long, M/M

This seems like an interesting campaign.

I started expanding, make sure to build the latest naval tech. In the meantime I had my Imam call a Jihad against Constantinople. The Turks joined and they captured it. It seems that the faction leader and heir were both in the city, because when the city was captured the rest of the Byzantine cities became rebel cities.



Soon however, the Turks blocked my port at Alexandria, which meant that they started war. I responded by capturing their city of Mosul and stopped attacking them.

Then I sent an army in a ship to capture the former Byzantine islands for:

1-Good trade positions
2-Good place to attack Turks if they start a major offense.

So I captured Cyprus and Rhodes.



I got trade rights from Hungary, Venice, Sicily.

While my diplomat was moving I became aware of the city that is on modern day-Greece land (southern Europe). It was a rebel city so I sent my full stack army on a ship from Rhodes to it.

A Turkish ship sank my ship! No mercy this time, and indeed I captured two Turkish cities on their Eastern frontier. Also the Pope called a crusade on Jerusalem. Only the Portuguese came, and I let them have the city. But soon I formed a big army and recaptured it.

playing as Turks right now and it was all good until everything got royally messed up thanks to the Mongols

Wow the AI is smart in this game. I wanted an alliance with the Turks and they requested the 3 cities that I took from them...I refused.

Once again the Turks made the Jihad that I called successful.


Mongols came from the Baghdad region. They aren't there and I can't see them anymore. I think they are going north to Russia


A former Byzantine city, now a rebel city, I went out to conquer. My Turkish allies helped. Good thing I got it before Sicily.


The Turks unfortunately betrayed me and attacked my city of Tbilisi, even though we were allies, so I attacked one of their armies and won. Now we restarted having the fierce naval battles again I also sailed North though the Black Sea from the cities that border it and I captured some land. Finally, I allied with the Moors.

there is no point in going to sarkel or whatever that region is called ... 99.9% of the time in my game the Mongols hit there, HARD

They actually rarely ever capture that region and I'll fight them back if they do.

meh I guess in your games they like to attack Egypt and in mine they like to hit Russia ... I got the golden horde in my game and you got the ilkhanate

In my game they either go for Kiev or Baghdad.

the golden horde (the russian one) actually accepted Islam first and fought back against halaku and the ilkhanate

WTH is wrong with the Turks in my game?

They are the Mongols of my game. They somehow keep getting full stakes. Mongols went to war with them and so I'm trying to take advantage by allying with Mongols.

Perfect plan man ... make the 2 hordes kill each other off in the East while you sail to the West and give the Aztecs Euro land that's giving you trouble ... and this way you hti them both when they're weakened

Turks captured Adana from me and so pretty much the whole hour and a half that I played was me trying to get it back -__- ...no kidding, at least 10 battles happened for that city.
