It never ends cause we're all closeminded. It's hard to convert people because religion is one of the most complicated things on Earth, even though it's usually only a book or so that constitute a religion

Statistics are bull. They use 2000 people, sometimes not even and think that the result is accurate.

Anyways, pegs are: a wooden pin pushed or driven into a surface
And since that wasn't there at the time, peg is the most accurate word for root. Context is a given.

Lol, cool a missionary topic. I think i'll jump on the bandwagon. "And the mountains as pegs" the word for pegs is "awtad" which originally means stakes and is very hard science indeed. It's stabbed in the ground. If only I could bring some pictures to prove =P
Edit: Also you didn't explain away (as your usual habit is) the fact the Quran states that mountains prevent the earth from quaking...

Islamic cultures evolved into great bastions for science of the time but it does not prove the religion is correct.
