yours sounds a little unrealistic. i mean it's to big of a job to be done and how mutch money and materials it needs is overwelming

how about explode it? with the whole iland, and give the islanders free houses in the east coast?

because then you start a even biger wave that will kill even more people

you know an explosion would just move things dont you? the mass would still be the same just split up and it would hit the water harder.

well the only thing that plan does is let is pick when the wave hits and evacuate the east cost of america and parts of the weast cost for africa and england before it hits

it doesnt matter, to make a wave that size you would need a hell of alot of explosives and a couple of million people not paying attention to what your doing because they would have better ideas

if you cause the land to slide with a few sticks of tnt then you have control of when the wave hits.

Or we can put an giant sheet of metal under the goes down to the bottom of the sea until it reaches the rock that prevents it from falling.
