u want how high it would bounce after the 4th bounce
so u want the 5th term.
knowing that a (the first term) =10 (given in the Q)
and r (the common difference) = 7/10
sooo u plug into the first formula.. 10*(7/10)^5-1
=
2.401

no, its a geometric series.. so u multiply by the common difference rather than subtract/add
