Well folks, I didn't think it could happen but we are going to get another superstorm here in the north east. I have the great luck to still be in the rain belt as I am writing this but we are prepping for a major standby at the firehouse later today. I don't think I need to tell you to keep off the roads and stay warm, but remember that those of us in emergency management are going to be running out to calls all night. Assure your safety and the safety of your family in these last few hours.

P.S. this is post 10500 for me. Now to never post again so as to preserve this lovely number.

p.p.s. those of you who are stuck in the storm with me, keep us updated on the power grid =P

I'll keep you guys up to date... to an extent.

I think there are only two or three members who aren't going to be hit by this.

Power is still good, and the rain just turned to snow a couple of minutes ago.

You guys are hilarious. New Englanders cower at supercells, whereas we (Centeralers) normally get slammed by these things dozens of times each year. We admire nature and stand out on our porches when the sirens go off.

Sadly we've only gotten 5 or 6 rainstorms the past 2.5 years, but normally ^^^ that's nothing.

NY isn't part of New England.

Also it was also raining, which quickly turned to hail, this morning.

No, but a sixth of my city was underwater a few years back, and a neighboring small town was steamrolled by a tornado two years ago. The majority of the storms you guys get are laughable.
