I've thought about this basically all of today.

It wasn't okay to drop the bombs.
However, it was also not okay to attack us. It's war, and frankly, they didn't even get the worst of it.
Imma say that both sides are at fault. Japan had no right to attack us over oil, just as we don't in the middle east. I think we can all agree on that.

Bro, America had 410,000 casualties in all, including civilians and military. Hell, China and Japan got beat the most, China got 10 mill losses, Japan got 3 mill losses.

Japanese slaughtered as many as 30 million Filipinos, Malays, Vietnamese, Cambodians, Indonesians and Burmese, at least 23 million of them ethnic Chinese.

Now tell me how "as many as 30 million" cannot possibly yield 30 million.

Rummel, a professor of political science at the University of Hawaii, states that between 1937 and 1945, the Japanese military murdered from nearly 3,000,000 to over 10,000,000 people, most likely 6,000,000 Chinese, Indonesians, Koreans, Filipinos, and Indochinese, among others, including Western prisoners of war.

May I just note the alternative to the nuke was Operation Downfall, who's projected casualties was about 1M Allied soldiers and tens of millions of Japanese. Do remember, the Japanese citizens were comparable to brainwashed zombies and even attempted mass suicide/resistance when Americans occupied Okinawa. I have no doubt that at least 20% of the population would have died

Nazi Germany didn't kill the most... Even the USSR killed more than them (that's including own citizens).
But Japan still killed the most.

Both of these show roughly 17,000,000-23,000,000 Chinese civilian casualties. Plus, every other WWII casualty in Asia (outside of Russia and Japan) was caused by Japan.
