A mod for M2TW kingdoms has this sub-mod where the Pope actually fights!

fighting pope is strangely... awesome? They should have given the model a mace tho.

It wouldn't be cool, cuz you can't threaten someone's neck with a mace.

It would be a bit more accurate, assuming the pope ever actually had to fight. the mace was favored by the pious as a 'loop hole' to get out of reproducibility for killing someone... It doesn't work btw.

IMO killing him or capturing him in battle as a non catholic factions should have a serious effect on the catholic factions ... like mass rebellions/revolts ...

wouldn't it be more realistic if it went like

killing: instant crusade on one of your city's

releasing: All catholic nations relations go up

ransom: all catholic nations relations go down

thats actually a good one

unless there was already a crusade called on you ... there's always one called on me

btw crusader armies are the easiest ones to beat IMO ... just take out the general and the whole army routes ... or assassinate him ...
