The city of Mosquito Coast SUCKS! It doesn't have a single building in it! Just a small army (and probably Mosquitoes). In my New France Campaign, I actually started with buildings. Ill need to build a port if I'm to sail to Southern USA.
So I sent a Native American guide to discover the place around me. I also sent an explorer to get trade rights from my neighbors...no alliances!
The thing is many will see these games as an outlet for how you wished the world would be like so be careful not to give a bad impression to fang, jj etc.
My armies are all made up of Native American mercenaries lol

More: I felt like I was fighting the Spanish American war. The French can't be destroyed (like Mongols)...and from time to time they block my ports and have naval fights. Their armies do nothing.
The reason why I no longer have any southern territory is that the Mayans kicked me out...Luckily I got a ship and put all my generals and agents on it and went North and landed on Louisiana.
