No its cuz you dont have the proper buildings. I used to make 200k+ in one of my campaigns.

I have all the farms, warehouses, docks, roads etc.

I've actually been focusing on making ballista towers in light of the invasions

All you need for a good economy is...trade rights, ports, roads, farms, markets...always update those including the city/castle. Also converting the population increases the income.

Timurids took Sarkel

Mongols sacked Metz as a horde ... the HRE is close to collapse anyway ... they just have some Citadels in the mountains north of Italy where I'm really not prepared to send my armies

I really hope I can hold off the Timurids long enough to atleast finish off the HRE or maybe even Milan ... Milan stopped attacking me for a while (after years and years of war ... they and the HRE gave up on the Italian peninsula after trying to take it back for years ...) but I saw a relatively low garrisoned Citadel of theirs to the west of me and tried to take it, but failed ... twice

so they got pissed and started attacking again lol ... anyway the Mongols (whats left of them that is) have now turned their sight towards a Milanese city in modern day France ... they're already officially at war with Milan and the HRE ... I hope they decide to settle there and fight both the HRE and Milan (or at least one of them) ... I just noticed that I'm bordering Denmark now to the north ...

-build ships and go to new world.
-Attack the moors and take their land, then you'll have an easy entry to Spain...Moors aren't helping anyways.

But I'm finding it extremely difficult to take Citadels ... I lost again twice in a row when trying to take a GRE Citadel (I actually got pissed the second time and didn't wait for any bombards tho ) and finally on the third try with auto resolve and another army helping I actually took the blasted Citadel ... btw I noticed form fow that the top Timurid generals (Shahrukh, Pir Muhammad, Usman Shaykh etc) have all died (I killed Timur himself in battle ) so should I possibly go on the offensive against them? I can have full stacks ready if I'm willing to go bankrupt

I send all of my armies from Constantinople since I can pick up my best units there ... like Hashashim, Sipahi lancers, Qapukulu, Ottoman infantry etc. or either they come from Italy where I can pick up Janissary musketeers and archers along the way but it takes to freaking long to get to the battle fields, especially when I have bombards with me

Capture new world. Get alliance from Aztecs, make them help you fight Timurids.

bro I'm not even fighting the Timurids lol ... Milan, Denmark, and HRE still won't leave me alone! As long as they have castles they produce new troops like nothing ...
