So I was at church (a christian chuch my parents make me go to even though im agnostic) and they kept singing hosanna. What is hosanna? I know its some religious thing, but I just don't get it! Oh and can someone tell me anything about buddism? It sounds kinda interesting.

Buddhism says that life is permeated with suffering caused by desire, and when suffering ceases, desire ceases. It also says that enlightenment is obtained through good conduct and wisdom. A Buddhist's period of meditation releases them from such desire and suffering, and mediation has something to do with the soul's rebirth... I don't understand any of it.

That sounds more interesting than Christianity.

Meditation sounds boring.

Scarr, you shouldn't just pick a religion because you think it would be cool. You might as well be drawing from a hat. Study the religion yourself, even if it's just reading the Wikipedia page and using the related links/articles. You should find out what it's beliefs mean to you. Because no matter how much you try and force it, it wouldn't feel right to you.

It comes occasionally Ahmed. You might not really question your God, but you become in doubt when you're at the lowest of times.
But knowing you, you haven't really been living a bad life. So you probably won't get this feeling of desperation as much, or you probably will later in your life.

You can only mask so much in your life Ahmed, I know. But everyone has their hard times, it just seems to me you're taking your time with your hard times.
You also have a strong bond with your religion which is one thing I like about you.

ViK, IS THERE EVEN AN ESTABLISHED STANDARD FOR HINDUISM? As far as I've heard, you can just pick and choose, and sometimes you can even belief in Christ and get away with it *facepalm*

And that's why I like Christianity. It's fast and all those neat.
Even the marriages. A Hindu marriage takes 7 days to complete where you on;y have to wear a towel to cover your private and sat looooong prayers and do the same thing everyday for the rest of your life but Christ guys just sit on a neat comfortable chair and enjoy the songs.
