sunlight is unpolarised... (it travels in ALL directions) when u pass it through a filter it only travels in one direction.. in the example above @ 90 degrees...
so now u have light travelling at 90 degrees in ur container.. sugar and water changes the direction in which light is travelling.. sooooo no light can exit through the other filter (which is also at 90 degrees)...
....the filter only allows light @ 90 degrees to exit..
