children and the elderly can recall to the same accuracy as a man in his prime, but it takes the elderly longer to remember, which is why you ask them open ended questions, you should also ask children open ended questions because they are easily influenced by questions.

middle aged people can answer either with no negative effects.

Ok, so the best way to ask the man questions would Eb to ask them in unforceful, neutral ways.

there is actually a process called the cognitive interview which is thought to be the best way to interview someone... but the police dont use it properly because it is too slow.

it largely relies on letting them talk freely, instead of asking yes no questions.
