Is homosexuality a choice?

lots of discussion in the chatbox last night made me think this would be a good debate.

I can understand why people want to think its something people choose, its harder to hate people over things they have no control over.

I think anyone could be and they don't necessarily know until their late teens or later.

Homosexuality is not a bad thing, nor it it something they choose.

I've always wondered if its something people actually can't control.

It IS a choice. Prove otherwise.

did you watch the video ahmed? I'm using that to show how it isn't a choice to begin with. It is up to you to highlight the errors in that and disprove them.

Could we not use videos and debate it the old classic way?

Just watch it, what are you afraid of?

I expect arguments to be backed up with external sources so videos are pretty useful.

That is a rhetorical question fang? Give me one good reason why someone would like the color blue; eat pizza, read harry potter etc etc.

Yes you do actually. Unless you are saying that humans have different brains and taste buds. Since all humans have the same brains with different levels of smartness) and the same taste buds, then we should all like the saem things. hwoever, that isn't what happens becasue we have choices.

Off topic: We all have different brains, they are who we are, because everyone is unique that makes all brains unique.

i think our taste buds are mainly the same but brains can interpret the signals from them differently.

Also, I meant that some people don't like pizza, but you can't just say "I don't like pizza" and suddenly hate it.

If homosexuality is a choice, then you go become gay right now and actually enjoy it. Right now.

i think it is not a choice, ahmed and ESD are the only people here who think its a choice, that i am aware of.

I believe that it is a choice, that could be influenced by a number of factors including psychological trauma, hormonal imbalance, or some childhood experience/event that occurred.

It's not natural, or normal. That is my belief.

actually cannibalism is only in some species, many animals will only feed on other species unless driven to the brink of death. not all animals are the same you know.

And so are you saying that in all animal species you will find gayness?
