BTW MY FAVORITE SPORT IS REAL FOOTBALL (WHAT AMERICANS CALL SOCCER) AND IM A CLUB DEPORTIVO LOS MILLONARIOS FAN
MY TEAM WAS THE BEST IN THE WORLD IN THE 1950S One of the biggest players ever played there. mainly from colombia and argentina, like Pedro Cabillon (holder of the record of most goals in a seasons (49) since 1949 no one has ever beaten it since them lawl) francisco el cobo zuluaga ( one of the best colombian players) Gabriel Ochoa Uribe (excelent keeper the most-times-DT-champion of the colombian league) Victor Fandilo (one of the best colombian defenders ever) Julio Cozzi (the best keeper of the world at that time) Nestor Raul "El Pipo" Rossi (excelent forward, an argentina historic) Alfredo Castillo (the top scorer in millonarios historiy, argentinan) Adolfo "El Maestro" Pedernera ( one of the best soccer players ever, top 5 of argentina) and THE MAIN DEAL ALFREDO DI STEFANO ( one of the top 4 of the history of soccer, for some the best ever, he is in the top 4 with Maradona Pelé and Cruyff)
That outstanding team got the nicknames of "el ballet azul" (the blue ballet) due to it s marvelous style of game, also the nickname of "el equipo mas laureado del pais" ( the most glorious team of the country) and of "los embajadores" (the ambassadors, because it was, and still is better playing as visitor)
The ambassadors in that time where a worldwide fenomenom like todays realmadrid barcelona river plate or boca jrs haha, It travelled all aroudn the world doign tours and beating teams from all countries also winning many cups. The most outstanding victory was a 4x2 beat on the realmadrid in their stadium, winning their 50 years celebration cup "bodas de plata del real madrid) (silver weddings of the real madrid) one of the most painful losses for that club. In that mathc Di Stefano socred 2 goals , due to that rteal madrid bought it and then in Europe Di stefnao became the best european soccer player ever recieven in 2001 the Super Gold ball (superbalon de oro) recognizing this. He made history winning the first 6 champions leagues with the madrid, top scorer in all of them.
Other outstdanding victory was when millonarios was proclaimed the "champion of the world" winning the clubs worldcup (called pequeña copa del mundo de clubes at that time) in 1953. In that cup participated Real Madrid, Barcelona,Caracas F.c,River PLate (with an historic theam "la maquina") Santos (the santos of pelé ,wich millonarios beaten 3 times, that means, yeah the one where pelé played) and Rapid Vienna from austira.
Millonairios then rematched real madrid 5 more times in Bogotá (our city) and Madrid, resulting in 3 victorys and 3 draws, that means 6 of 6 matches we are undefeated agaisnt real madrid .
In the 1960 we also got an excelent tema of just colombian players , wich were the same of the colombian sellection it was nicknamed "puros criollos" (just-citizens) in it played the 3rd best colombian player ever Delio "Maravilla" (maravilla means wonder) Gamboa. It won alot of colombian championships and should have won the "Copa Libertadores" (CUp for the southamerican champion) in 1960s, but by htat time INdependiente cheated in all cups, using money to "buy" six cups in a row, it was kinda a corruption complót in wich the conmebol (southamerican confederation) made alot of cheating so that Independiente de avellaneda (an argentinan team) could win all the libertadores (steal them) in one of the six we were going to be champs, we were in the semis, we beat independiente 3x1 in avellaneda, the conmebol and Independiente knew in the rematch at bogotá theywould lose, at the end they never came to bogotá and the trap was that the conmebol said that since independiente had more points in the general table they would pass to the finals (unfair).

IN the 70s decade we also had an excelent team, there was Irigoyen and Onega( excelent argentinan players) we had in a time Marino Klinger (wic became the all time classic match scorer) a classic match is what we call the most important matches in our soccer, millonarios classic match is with Stfe ,because is the rival of playgorund and city, and thats classics on this soccer, so marino lkinger wich 80% of his goals where "chilenas"and "chalacas· (flying kick backwards or half-flying jumping kick bacwards)We also had Jaime Moron wich was an excelent forward, AND THE BEST COLOMBIAN PLAYER EVER , WILLINGTON ORTIZ, FORWARD, wich reached like 5 libertadores final with the colombian lcub "america de cali" and won many championchips of colombia with "millos".
In the 80s we were in a crisis cuz almost all the clubs were leaded by colombian drug-dealing mafia bosses, we were aobut to dissappear so we had no other chance than sell the team to anoter drug dealer (WICH WAS A BAD MOVE CUZ IT BRANG A WORSE CHRISIS LATER) we made an excelent team with Mario Vanemerak (actual DT the one in my aatar) and other legends like Funes, or idols like el pajaro juarez , la "gambeta" estrada, eduardo pimentel , carlos "el pibe" valderrama (2nd best colombian player ever) and one of the best colombian scorers and forwards ever Arndolo el "guajiro" iguaran. We won 2 championships and went to the libertadores in 1989 , we were going to win it , but the drug-leader boss of atleticon acional (another colombian team wich was in the cup) menaced and bought referees and they stole the cup to us, that was 2 libertadores stolen, after that we had got idols like Lunari, Bonner Mosquera, and a lengend leeper Hector Burgez, wich was outstanding keeper for penalty kicks, and he was an excelent keeper, almost no goals were scored to him,but he didnt became a legend because of that , but because when the police realizxzed millos was of a drug dealer boss and pwned the team , making us have a millionarie bill to pay (like 14000 millions that we are still paying) in 2003 they were goigng to liquidate the team but Burgez stayed there and with some directives he saved the team from dissappearing, he also goal-keeped with a broken hand just to save our team, thats awesome, even tough he was from urugay he became a fan of millos and millos fans became fans of him.So in this 20 years we just got an international cup called "copa merconorte" thats an extinguished cup between the clubs of the north regipon of southamerica, we got 2 vice-championships (94 and 96) but not any colombian champmionship, like 2 weeks ago we were eliminated in the semifinals of the 23nd most important southamerican cup, the copa sudamericana, but it was still goofd we now recovered our international satus again. Even tough we hadnt won nothing in this 20 years (xcept that mercostupid cup) we had still being one of the biggest clubs of colombia, and we had still being the "colombian championship-most-times-champs and we had also had the biggest and best fans even tough millos doenst win anything. The fans had always been there singing for theyr club "wther it win or lose, the fans will always be there, and the love grows more and more every day" We have many songs that we sing in hte matches lol, but the guys that sing all the mathches are the "barra brava" (hard band, like a hooligan group fan of our team) taht is called "CADC COMANDOS AZULES DISTRITO CAPITAL" The best and first barrabrava in colombia.
You can check on youtube videos of millonarios just typign millonarios, and to see like vidoes of the songs type COMANDOS AZULES CADC and to see how we normally recieve our club put MILLOS PASION CRONICA or SALIDA MILLOS in youtube. Lol I typed alot if you read this thanks.

THey asked pelé wich was the hardest club you matched against he answered "Los Millonarios de Bogotá" sin duda (without doubt) xD
