Club

I am planning to start a club at me' school because it shows cxolleges of leader skills which is good and I get 8 points a term instead of 4! And finally so I could be be a little more knwon around the school

I had this idea since my freshman year (9th grade) but I guess I got lazy, but this year I am determined!

So any ideas for what I could make the club about?

I was thinking the "WE" Club AKA "World Events" Club

world events are great when theres something going on. i guess you can allways talk about the news when theres nothing big, what do you think will be a club people will want to go to?

i think whatever your interested in is probably the best idea, that way your sure to enjoy it and you will probably meet people who are interested in it too

Have a club that matchess your hobbies/interests. It will make it more enjoyable.

I like clubs, I was in 3 last year.

Well I like discussing News, Politics and History

Then make a club on news politics and history . My space bar is driving me insane (expectially while typing an essay) .

Yes, I do, and Hassan is in it (at his school) and he is encouarging me to join it...but I personally think its pathetic :

Well I think its pathetic because you just try to solve problems by "speaking" *shrug*

Well, well, well. First of all, pried, personally I think that joining MUN would be, great, diplomatically, academically, and socially. And, I am about 75% sure that I would be going to Columbia University and UN Headquarters coming year, in their perspective MUN Conferences.

And Ahmed, tell me, how else are problems solved in democracies? Isn't debate and basically 'speaking' ends in bills and legislations? You are forgetting that MUN is a "model" of UN, something to motivate the students to participate in real world politics and learn the insides of working as a diplomat without actually serving as one. Basically MUN is a 'school' for posibbly upcoming politicans and diplomats, as well as buisnessperson and, generally, professionals.

And yes, MUNers from all over the world, let alone NYC, meet in MUN conferences.
