What is needed to be educated

Today in class, which I am still attending as I write this, a thought has occurred to me, What does it mean to be intelligent? I ask this question because I now see intricate webs of connections branching from Psychology, to sociology, to history, to arithmetic, to mythology and on and on. To quote Socrates "The more I learn, the less I know".
As such I now question what should be the qualifying factors for someone to be educated, seeing as it appears impossible to truly have a complete understanding of everything. In order to stimulate increased understanding of my own philosophy I would like to hear some of your opinions on this matter.

Education is not intelligence. There are many educated people who are not intelligent. Intelligence is the use of knowledge to make wise decisions.

Education is how you gain knowledge without discovering it.

Education is accumulation of knowledge, or information that we can confirm as true to the best of our ability.

Wisdom is the ability to use logic to determine what is right and wrong, in both a moral and everyday sense.

Intelligence is the combination of those two.
