It was a Mosque build at the time of the Umayyds, a Muslim Caliphate, in the Andalus (Now Spain). It was the 2nd largest Mosque in the world.
When the Christain spaniards recoqnuered Spain, they converted the Mosque into a Roman Catholic cathedral (Church).

Does ayone else find it iroic that Egypt was the first coquerers, yet later they got coquered by everyone else?
P.S.: I ever knew that Anceient Egypt's borders reached Asia Minor 0_0...

I came into the Indian subcontinent, and built two cities which are today World Heritage sires: Mohan jo doro and Harappa..
I big amount of them did...Now if you are saying that Egypt has been conquered and ruled by different people a lot of time, then, thankfully, we were luckier there
