Christianity Debate!

Ok so I checked out some other religious debates but i think I'm right to satr a new topic here...

So I am a Christian and always when talking to others on here I am overly concerned not to tip the balance of peoples personal beliefs. But here and now I'm happy if there is a time and place this is it!!!

So Christians what do we disagree about in our own religions and others how do our beliefs differ and what is right or is there at least a balance???

For me I grew up in a Christian home all of my life, we went to church our friends were Christians I was taught Chrisitian morals, but none of that really meant anything until Church camp of 05, I was praying for a group of kids and i noticed one of the other youth, she had always had a bright spark about her, her love of life was out of this world (literally) her parents had just split up ofter 14 years of marraige. Yet here she was praying her heart out for someone elses trouble!

I wanted this joy formyself, I knew that it waas the Holy spirit within her shining through, but up til then my chrisitianity wasn't real I did was i was told I was religious but I was not a Christian by a long shot!!

So that night we prayed together, I didn't accept jesus into my heart as i already had so many times before, but we prayed that the holy spirit would come and fill my being.

And the reason I know and 100% maybe even 110% believe that jesus is my saviour who died for me and before him there is no other is that that night i truley felt the holy spirit fill me up and take plece within me.

From then on my love for God has grown, I've struggled against it at times, but God's love and grace has caught em everytime I fallen and now I personally can spend time with Jesus. And that along with all the science coming up proving the Chrisitianitiy case assures me!

But all in all it is the fact that I can spend time with Jesus that makes me sure.
Oh that and the Holy Spirits guideance!!!

It's funny though some of you will read this and your opinion of me will change, but thats your choice, this is me!!

Anyways, that is a very good story Denz but you still avoided my question, you didn't tell me why you are sure Christianity is the true religion:

I know many Christians that were grown up in strict Christian homes (You could see videos in Youtube) but they later on converted from Christianity to Islam.

Sometimes when something bad (such as the girl's parents breaking up) strikes a human being, their faith in believe usually strengthens...even if that faith is wrong.

Denz as you said, you went to a Church camp. Therefore you are encouraged by all of your environment to strengthen your belief in Christianity, so of course you will feel that your faith has increased in your believe. However, if I am playing a soccer match with my best friends on a team,I too will feel all excited and sure that I will beat the opposite team...and I won't say that a soccer ghost filled me up

So this time I wish you get straight to the facts, tell me why you are sure that Christianity is the right religion? What amkes you so sure. I would like cold hard facts please

Ok well I guess as I'm assuming you wouldn't say that the Holy Spirit is living within you, but thats my reason and if he lived with in you you'd agree!

But seems as though we can't compare and contrast in that area how bout, you tell me why you are so sure you're right.

And give me ideas (not becasue i have none but because I don't which I can use cause my main one you can't understand (not because of any lack of education it's just like a complete change of life that you are yet to live!))

Denz if I am not mistaken, that wasn't the holy spirit, that was "excitement" -you being with your friends, and maybe you liking the camp itself-and you practicing your faith together that gave you that feeling-If you disagree then, how are you so sure it was the spirit?

Anyhow, what do you mean why I am so sure I am right? Do you mean, why I am so sure that Islam is the true religion?

And for me it's because every day since then the Holy Spirit has dwelled within me. Your right many peple experiance what they think is God in the heat of the moment of excitment and then it fades away but when you truly discover him it stays within you and grows day by day, his guideance and blessing follow you in all your ways!

First if you would like proof for Islam trueness (if that's a word), here you go:

How could an ordinary man, 1400 years ago know about all this stuff?

Before I start any further...Muslims do no believe in Jesus(AS) being crucified. rather Muslims believe, that he was raised up to the sky, and Allah(God) made someone look like Jesus(AS)...so they crucified hi instead. Jesus(AS) is still up in the sky.
We Muslims also believe in Jesus(AS) second coming...but he won't be on the current Christian side.

Now back to your question...simple, Allah (God) raised him.

be careful denz, you dont want to offend people just because they dont believe the same things as you.

but i would say i had a similar experience when i was much younger, i hadnt been raised in a way that i prayed every day or month, my parents arent very religious, and they didnt force it on us... but one day much like alot of others i had done something i shouldn't of and my dad was really offended (he threatened to make me sleep inn the shed) well anyway i prayed desprately and later dad came back and used the exact words i had used in my prayer and i was sure it was God.

But can't it be a coincidence? I mean for example, their are many pictures that I saw that have clouds, plants in the shape of Allah's name in Arabic. There are also many trees that have the shape of "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" that whole sentence being written by the trees in Arabic (You might have seen it in Hassan's sig before). However, non-Muslims just say that all these are just coincidences. So can't I say the same?

Hmm, like last year our interns went over to Papua New GUniea and in Jesus' name thousands of people were healed.

that moment was so convincing to me there could of been a parade or a choir and it wouldn't make a difference because i knew i believed in a greater power.

But im not saying its right. i dont think God would let me stray off the path and since then ive been looking for what is the right way to live my life respecting God.

Exactly, that is my point! We can't base the facts off of these things because all these are coincidences (both sides have many of these examples) ...that's why I am telling you Denz to state the cold hard facts of why you believe in Christianity!

Ok my proof is the loving God who cares for me, as far as I am concearned I know it to be true because it is in the Bible and because I have a personal relationship with Jesus, so much so that I can speak with him!

But as far as your concearned I'm practically blindly following the Bible who's teachings have no proof!

Well, also as far as you are concearned Christ did die on the croos it is a historical fact, what your questioning is if he rose again!
