I don't watch anime so I can't confirm anything, but from what I've heard, Attack on Titan and Steins Gate are good.

I was looking for you for quite a bit yesterday night, couldn't find you, so asked another friend. Luckily he recommended a 13 episode series so Im almost done with it.

I did that because of the nostalgia.
It was a pretty fun and exciting entry-level that actually got me into other entry-level anime like Fruits Basket and the bunch that you see from Funimation channel on my list.
Without the nostaglia it gets a 5.
But either way, Any anime fan that has seen Madoka would reccommend it.
The only people who don't like Madoka are children who can't sit still for more than 30 seconds.
2nd edit: plus I rated a majority of those (including Naruto) based on how I think I felt about them at the time.
Like I was really, really into Eden of the East so I gave it a 10. I went around calling it the best anime of all time for about two weeks.
