I just mentioned Ahmed (though not by name) in an essay because he served as an absolutely perfect example for it. There seriously could not possibly be a better example out there, so I couldn't resist.

The assignment was to read a passage for my RA Training course and reflect on how it pertained to me. It mentioned the relationship Niels Bohr had with Albert Einstein, and I realized that it was almost exactly like the one I have with Ahmed.

When Einstein and Bohr first met, they got along very well.

But then, one day, their discussion shifted to physics.

Einstein believed in special relativity, while Bohr believed in quantum... things, so they had a disagreement in how the world works.

They argued about it for years, and neither gave into the other's claims, and so eventually, they just drifted apart.

Sound familiar?
