Very well, you see, about 20 years ago. I had requested help from a witch to cure my wife. I had to give her most of my wealth in return. Of course I was not going to give her most of my wealth, but I accepted because I was in a desperate state to cure my wife.

After my wife got healed and she requested the wealth. I refused. She got furious and put a plaque on most of my villages. The plaque turned the people to montorous beasts.

So, I can not have them roaming in my kingdom like this. So I requested help from another group of mages to kill all the beasts and for them to declare that they were thieves...so the normal townsfolks don't get suspicious of me.

This is what happened citizen. May I have your word that you won't tell anyone of what you just heard?
