Yeah, in times of crisis they're fine, otherwise you're seen as an extremist in my eyes.

I don't really see anything wrong about being enthusiastic about where you live... except when your country is being conquered or doing some odd things.

Really? Most people I know are like "Murca- the only free country, I pray to thee" And I'm sick of the whole "we're the best attitude" when we're behind all these other countries.

The stuff that I read online that are similar to your example is mostly sarcastic... Hence the "America F*** Yeah" song which is supposed to parody our government.

It's having pride in where you live. If you're not proud of the country you're in, then gtfo or try to change it.

Small amounts of nationalism are good. However, too much makes you ignorant. There are a lot of people in places like Colorado and Tennessee that have way too much nationalism.

I mean its good to have pride where you're at, not where you're born.

It's also good to be like "we're #1", but only if they can state and accept the flaws.
