The other night I had a fire in my town, the first in quite some time. The fire was in the Greek Orthodox church and was as hot as hell. I have no idea how it got so bad without anyone noticing. I was stationed outside as EMS support and noticed that all the guys on the first line were totaled after bailing out reporting nausea, dizziness, sweating, tachycardia and elevated BP.
*Overhaul after the fire had subsided
During the overhaul my brother actually came out with a painting he had discovered in the wrecked second floor. The painting itself had burnt away leaving a rather disturbing after image. My best assumption is that somehow the paint has held up to the burn better than the canvas but I have no explanation for the horns. Some of the more superstitious firefighters actually refused to enter the building again after seeing the painting
