To tablet, or not to tablet? Empty To tablet, or not to tablet?

Lately I have been thinking of getting this tablet bundle:

To tablet, or not to tablet? 408930_302547_01_front_zoom
Spoiler:
It comes with a docking pad, which extends the battery life to 15 hours! And I can use it like a laptop as well.

The main reason I want to get this is to replace my Dell Inspiron 15 laptop, which has a horrible battery life as it decreases with each usage per day. Also, it's heavier to carry.

But here's the problem: I study computer science, and I may need a Windows PC for coding C++ or Java.

And there's my dilemma. Any thoughts?

And in case you were wondering, ASUS is a Taiwanese company.

For that price I'd just get a new laptop or netbook.
