    The hurricane's just not close enough yet. There's been some gusts on a beach here in Maryland, although nothing's happening where I'm at yet.

    I'm supposed to get the worst by Monday night with gusts over 75 MPH.

    About 6 years ago there was a storm with gusts over 60 MPH, which took down the stop sign right next to my house. I just hope a tree doesn't fall down this time...

    Looks like the path of the hurricane has changed, it's headed northwest now, maybe avoiding Long Island!

    So far only encountered heavy rain and winds, only one brief power outage that lasted for a minute.

    Uh, disregard my previous statement... I was on XBL talking with a guy who lives in NYC and he said there was flooding all over the place and he could hear transformers exploding...

    Some are really, REALLY bad, but going by a couple I've been in, I think the majority of them are rather exaggerated.

    The media sucks. I wish they would all go hide under a rock and not come out. The other day they started spreading a rumor that anyone who went to the armory would get ten free gallons of gas. This was of course bull, it was intended to give ten gallons to emergency response vehicles, such as police cars, and in the end no one got gas and it resulted in a near riot.
