I quit FB

That's what my friends on FB said when I announced it. I will prove you all wrong. I'll actually really attempt quitting this time. Wish me luck!

That video is so full of bullshit.

It does make some good points, but all of those are the behaviors of fucking 12 year old girls. Hate on them, not the website.

You don't have to quit facebook, you have to change the way of thinking having more FB friends makes you popular etc.

I feel that FB is fake. Hurts your self-esteem. Waste of Time. Stopping me from finding my true self.

i go to facebook around 2 times a day, i check my messages and glance over the news feed.

its not facebook thats bad for you, it's how you use it.

Well it seems then that I don't know how to use it.

With that said, it's fake and it hurts self-esteem (depending on the person). What do you have to say about that?

I use it to chat with people when I can't hang out with them. Is that a problem?

It's fake in the sense that people protray fake lives/selves. Let me be clearer: People only show what they want others to see, hide what they don't want others to see. In other words they censor their real lives to give youa glamour photo of themselves. Oh...and please tell me about about your 500 "friends" (not a question to you Fang, just a hypothetical Q). The word "friend" has been devalued. That's why it's fake.

I understand you want to connect with friends, but there are much better ways to really connect with your friends. Pick up that phone or go visit them. Facebook is actually doing the reverse of what it was made to do...it's actually disconnecting people.

Facebook also nourishes bad habits in people such as envy, hatred, stalker-like personalities.

i actually have 38 friends on facebook. And its not a representation of me, but a way to keep in touch...

I dont really do status updates, but if i did, i wouldn't be posting things i didn't want people to know, the ugly parts of my life. That doesn't make it fake, just talking about things I want to share with 30+ people at a time.

That's nowhere near true. Nearly every single teacher and student at my school uses facebook, and I know the people there well. Few are anti-social. And I can assume that's the same for the vast majority of FB users.
