One of my relatives, Harry Moore, died a couple days ago. I never met him, but he's one of my role models because of what he did in WWII. He was one of three survivors of his company of the Battle of Monte Cassino (wiki), and he retired with no less than 37 medals. He was in the 36th (Texas) U.S. Infantry Division, in which fourteen of its members received the Medal of Honor, according to Wikipedia. During the battle, the 36th and the 142nd took so many losses they merged with the 34th and together went on to perform "one of the finest feats of arms carried out by any soldiers during the war."
I'm pretty angry right now, because I never even knew this man existed until I was told about his death. I want to meet this man more than anyone else in the history of the world.
