I have excessive fear of all animals and paranoia that they're going to bite me. How do I stop this?

you mean all animals?

Yes.

First, allow things like house pets to be around you. Pet them, enjoy them, love them.

Then maybe play with a squirrel (chase it around).

Srsly tho, most animals won't bite or attack in any way unless you provoke them... this goes for most animals, wild or domestic. As long as you don't punch them or something you should be fine.

I suggest spending time with a cat. The majority aren't mean and even if one would attack for whatever reason they're basically harmless.

Puppies are too erratic to start with IMO... my brother used to be afraid of dogs 'cause when he was little he got jumped by a duo of spastic puppies.

I can't. It just the idea of them being another species that gets to me. And I keep thinking they are going to bite/scratch me with their nails/teeth.
