I don't know if this is true or not but someone told me your body resets after 8 hours. So it'll think it slept for 8 hours in your example

    wot
    that makes no sense.
Your body runs on a circadian rhythm and that rhythm can be controlled by the brightness of lights. You alter them, you can change when you go to sleep and when you don't. Oh, and because of time cues in the world, your circadian rhythm is one day, 24 hours, rather than 25 hours, which is how your body works without time cues.

Wow, that's awesume! 16 hours sleep, so you sleep like a baby. That's mean you have no stress. Good Good!!! The last time that I slept good like I was dead until I woke up in the morning is about 10 hours. Now, sometime I sleep 6 hours, and sometime 8 hours.

They teach you that at your stage in the curriculum?

I know just about everything except the last sentence from reading stuff on my own but in AP Psych we just finished the chapter on sleep and consciousness (and by we finished I mean every student taught themselves)

Nothin I said is wrong. The sleep stages have nothing to do with timing of your sleep, simply how you are while sleeping and your awareness of the outside world.

I'm just wondering...why are you studying Psychology lol?

Do you want a real job or not? Or are you just taking it for the sake of everyone saying it's the easiest course ever?

I'm legitimately interested in psychology. However as I've taken the course more and more I've realized I'm more interested in memories and how they are structured and how their nature in general rather than the rest of it.

Ah nice to see some independance by resorting to the library instead of institutionalised education...but studying psychology at your age is a bit early for us brits, psychology only becomes an option at further education.

I never bothered taking it for further education though (aka "sixth form college" as we call it), as most schools of thought in the field of psychology are based on theoretical axioms. Psychologising can be very pretensious when considering the above, and this is coming from acquaintances who have taken the subject.
