Spyware :(

Wellm yesterday on my computer, the windows XP one, I went on this site, and it turned out to be a spyware site. When I closed the site, I noticed that my wallpaper has changed to "Your computer is in danger of Spyware" ...and lots of antivirus and spyware popups. (Obviously they are form the spyware person)...also the person has disabled me from accessing the task manager ( Damn ). And so its basically useless. Someone told me the only way I could fix it is by installing Windows XP once again, and I did(I had one extra CD)...but when copying the files it stops at 10% when it has to copy file called "head..." and so if I skip the file it might not work(the windows XP (properly)).

P.S.: Im writing from my windows vista laptop BTW.

no flame if the admin has spyware it doesnt mean this forum does, he doesn't host it so its never really been on his computer, also he cant make cookies for it so you won't get any here unless we get hacked by russians

It was " *hiden to protect users*" -yes, I know Im very foolish -(EVERYONE, NEVER GO ON THIS SITE-YOU DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING, just going there gives you the spyware.

Ya, well thats too late, as I said , that person had blocked some things, and one of them was accessing some programs like anti-virus etc. so Im guessing that program would fall into it.

Also, I have already erased the windows...and tommorow Ill take the computer to this computer technician that I know, so he could install the new windows...since for some reason, it cant copy one file(?)

PoE sry for hiding the site but some users may want to check it out and i dont want anyone to be infected. also that realy stinks that your computer is messed up sry about it

In other news...

Bad News:I went to the computer technician and he said it'll cost $60 to fix it (he needs to download the software and motherboard etc.

Good News: I had this old computer wish the internet broke last year in Septe,ber...I plugged it in and fortuantely it works

Actually, I didnt download anything...I just went there :

I didnt know that soywares could just download by going on their site.

You can get spyware if someone just knows your IP

nope, knowing an ip address is actully useless when it comes to viruses and stuff. take it up on mybaanrit if you dont believe me

Ehh...mine too, in the morning. When i went like 5 hours later(on the same site) it died.
