IT BUUUUURNS.
I don't know what the heck I did, but a few days ago, my back started hurting... and today the pain has multiplied tenfold and now, I can't move my left arm without my back feeling as if it were stabbed. I can't lean in any direction, and it hurts like hell to breathe in deeply... did I crush a vertebrae or something? And should I go to the doctor?

Re: My back...
Yeah, you should definitely go to a doctor.
Craptastic.
Wait like 2 days then see if it's better. You probably pulled a back muscle...somehow...
I was lifting heavy things a few days ago.
Yup you picked them up in a wrong position. That's what happens. Happened to me a couple of times in the gym. Just give it time.
There wasn't any immediate pain though... it just flared up a couple days later, so I'm not sure that's what messed up my back.
It's almost never immediate pain.
Alright... I'll give it a few days.
I wouldn't :L
I would hate for my parents to pay for an appointment just to have the doctor tell me to give it time.
And anyway, my doctor is intimidating. D:

could you list the symptoms and the severity in great detail?
A doctor isn't a magician...
but he needs to go to a doctor
Yeah but a doctor/er technician is the person who studies this. Sayf and I are right. :L
I think you've got subluxation, want me give u an adjustment?
Sublu-what?
I was thinking it was a disc problem. I took some advil yesterday and the pain's eased quite a bit. If it comes back I'll go to the doc...

I know a doctor diagnoses this. But it's not anything major. Best he'll do is suggest physical therapy.
Time will heal it.

subluxation
Well, if it's disc problem. Have you have any trauma? Did you do anything involving asymmetrical loading, or twisting?

The pain has pretty much passed, except for when I breathe in too deeply. I guess I just lifted something I shouldn't have.
Overreaction ftw.
Overreaction ftw.
Tbh anytime I have odd pains, then i go to the doctor. If I can't think of an obvious reason, that is.
But I don't want my parents to have to pay $150 just to have a doctor tell me to give it time.
get health insurance and then go to the doctor
