OK so I know you get chevrons from exp, but how exactly do they raise your units attack and defense? And anyone ever gotten like 3 gold chevrons before?

I'm pretty sure if you garrison the units and retrain them their stats increase.

yeah but how much for each? and im assuming they get new armor too after a while when you build better armories ... because I've noticed some of my units look different then others when they are the same unit ...

Yeah when you build tanneries, they get better armor.
