Cat help?
For the past 2 weeks this black and white cat has been coming and sleeping under the window of my house. The neighbor put some fish and water in a tray and put it under my window so the cat could eat.
The food is done.
So like 5 minutes ago, the cat was laying down under the window, so I just got sone bread and from inside my house I threw it outside the window. The cat jumped away in surprise...looked at me...looked at what I threw for 5 minutes then it left.
I guess cats don't like bread?

Re: Cat help?
Well it has been sleeping under my house for a week or so...so I sort of got familiar with it.
And what would happen if you feed stray cats?

Re: Cat help?
first off, Cats do not eat bread. It's common sense if you think about the composition of their teeth.
second, look for a collar. There's a good chance it's a stray, but it may just be someones cat looking for a nice place to nap and a meal.
third, don't feed stray cats. It will only make them come back in search of food. there's a good chance it does not have rabies, but it probably has flees.

Re: Cat help?
Strange, it could eat meat but not bread? It has no collar. And it already DOES come back lol...espicially with my neighbor putting cat food next to my house.
@Sayf: what kind of a cat bites LOL? and I was inside my house...it was outside.

they scratch more commonly, but they do bite, especially if you put your fingers near their mouths.

Re: Cat help?
Ahmed, cats can eat meat and not bread because their teeth are made to eat meat. Bread is rather artificial and you won't see many species other than humans eating bread.
That being said, if you plan on doing anything with the cat, may as well bring it to the vet to make sure there isn't anything wrong with it.

Nah, I have a animal-phobia...so I'll never physically get very close to any animal.

Re: Cat help?
Ha. I live with five cats. You'd have fun here.
Dude, stop feeding it and tell your neighbor to stop feeding it. Back in '05 or something, a stray cat came to my house and my family made the mistake of feeding it. It wouldn't go away, and suddenly, it had four kittens in our backyard that we had no choice but to take care of. I suggest you find a way to make the cat leave permanently, even if it's a male.

I don't know if it's a male or female, but my neighbor calls it "Princess" lol.
Umm...wouldn't the cat take care of the kittens?

Re: Cat help?
It just didn't act like it should for its kittens, it was just downright dumb, and it sometimes had random fits of anger.
I'd catch the cat and take it to the vet if I were you, or get someone else to do it.

Re: Cat help?
You know the best coarse of action here is to intercept it's food and put it on your neighbor's property.

Re: Cat help?
The reason why the neighbor puts the food here is that the cat always comes here...as a matter of fact I just came back home from outside and it is sitting under the window again. It had left during the heavy rain earlier today.
