next up is the byz horse archers having higher stats than Muslim mounted archers .... historically untrue ... byz never used them ... they would only have mercenary turkish ones ... infact even hungary and russia have better ones than egypt or the turks ... complete nonsense ...

Every faction has a weakness though.

euro factions are far too overpowered ... its unrealistic and unfair that we get the weakest units and face the mongols, timurids, and crusading catholics

I sort of disagree there. It is actually better that Egypt and Turks get to face the hordes first. They could weaken them. European faction will eventually face them when their power is greater.

but the mamluks should EASILY be the best overall cavalry in the game on historical basis alone ... they beat the unbeatable mongol horde and then right after that they raped the crusaders ... while russia was completely destroyed by them yet they have better heavy cav and missile cav?? wtf??

and thats off topic ... this is about fairness ... janissaries were the elite, professional soldiers of the time ... they outclassed knights ... mamluks were also the best all around cavalry and the turks had the best horse archers aside from the mongols ... atleast they got the gunpowder superiory of the turks
