| I have formed a team with an Australian friend to work on an Egypt realism mod. We both just started the concept of modding. I gave him my guide and he implemented it! So far: Cairo the Capital of Mamelukes | |

| We progressed: We successfully changed the Faction name to Egypt: Initial Government under Sultan Humayun I Following the historical basis in 1971 (will fix year soon), Egypt owns Jerusalem and Damascus too. | |

| Well it seems that 2 team members have left our team. Fortunetly, it won't be on stall becasue a new member (Egyptian) has joined our team. We restarted the project. This is a little AAR that he played for fun. History: In 1768 Ali Bey deposed the Ottoman governor and assumed the post of acting governor. He stopped the annual tribute to the Sublime Porte and in an unprecedented usurpation of the Ottoman Sultan's privileges had his name struck on local coins in 1769, effectively declaring Egypt's independence from Ottoman rule. In 1770 he gained control of the Hijaz and a year later he sent an army to occupy Syria from the Ottomans, thereby reconstituting the Mamluk state that had disappeared in 1517. The new member's AAR (History and what could have happened if the rebellion hadn't happened in the Mameluke row): Independence from Ottomans. The march to Damascus. Time to take the imperial seat. Ankara was on my way... ...and Baghdad. Notice how the Barbary States don't care LOL | |

| Not in real life buddy Nor in the game cuz they never rebel. Mamelukes rebel though. I still find it funny that they are indifferent even though their protector is destroyed | |

| What we have accomplished so far (initial starting situation): Cairo is the region capital: Palestine and Syria have been conquered by Egypt from the Ottoman Empire Syria has been made to start out as restless. This is a representation of Abu al-Dhahab's rebellion, which started in Syria, against Ali Bey. Enemy: Ottoman Empire |Allies: Russia and Venice |Trade partners: Mughals and Russia | |

| Turns out I need to make Marthas the trade partner, and not Mughals, cuz Mughals have no ports nor any land routes to Egypt I guess some historical accuracy has to be sacrificed for playability. | |

| Thanks for your support Preid It is indeed an exciting thing to watch, and even more exciting to develop. This is my first mod (it was my idea and I'm the mod leader), and we've been doing good as you can see. Unless you have the game, I could ask you to help out with the historical research. The game already has victory conditions for Egypt but they seem random. So you could perhaps research Egypt under Ali Bey El Kabir and see some realistic regions that Egypt should capture to win. As for inviting my team mates, I was planning to do that. I don't think the time is right yet. But I will definitely invite them | |

| With regards to the European theatre map, which Egypt is in, unfortunately this map is the best I can offer: it doesn't have the provinces' names, but it shows the borders in the vanilla game.
Updates: Originally, minor factions do not have revolutionary republic flags. When a major faction goes through a revolution and becomes a republic, its flag changes. So we made and added a republic flag for Egypt: Egypt still starts out as an Absolute Monarchy, but this is just for preview. In-game preview: When a revolution happens Egypt will get the modern day Egyptian republic flag. As an originally "minor nation", Egypt starts out with feeble global prestige. I am happy to say that we can now edit it (Obviously I'm aware the current values are too high, and they will be adjusted) Finally, we have put the historically correct start date, 1771:

| From what I can tell your starting position covers the entirety of the Mameluke dynasty, But perhaps you can set the victory conditions as the entirety of the ottoman for short and toss in the entirety of Northern Africa and that light green Provence in Persia for the long campaign. sorry I cant help much more than that. I also see a map on India on there, does that play any role? | |

| I think that would be "too short" to just require the destruction of Ottomans. Yes, there is also an Americas theatre, and an Indian theatre maps. Here is India: | |

| As I stated before, The Mameluke never really reached out past the Egypt/Israel area. I guess you could make the victory condition a united Islamic state, taking all of Africa, the eastern world, and southern Spain.
BTW what are you doing with the tech?

| Israel never existed. It's called Palestine. It's also called Palestine in the game.
Mamluke Sultanate reached from Egypt to Syria to Saudia Arabia...so obviously you did no research.
What about the tech? | |

What about the tech? I'm talking about the historic Israel area, so essentially the eastern coast of the Mediterranean, including Syria. I have taken this into account, but the Mameluke stayed on the red sea. I guess you could count the Mameluke's in Deli if you want to. As for tech I'm talking about the quality of troops and so forth. Are you sticking with what was in the unfinished faction?
