I barely lost that battle too ... my general died at the end so my units panicked and routed ... guess that just means I'll have to take Russian territories now and possibly eliminate them ... attacking Venice next turn too ..

strategy is waaaaay more important in this game ... basically since i quit on some previous Ottoman campaigns, I knew what to do in this one ... forget about Austria (they won't attack) get trade rights with everyone you can (economy to fund wars) take Kiev from Russia and then declare a peace treaty and then take out Georgia ASAP and then focus on Chechnya/Dagestan and Persia .. after that, you can focus on Austria .. Poland-Lithuania was weakened by its war with Prussia so taking their regions wasn't difficult and Venice is just weak in the first place ...

After victory, I plan on attacking the rest of Europe ... most likely Spain and France then Britain once my navy gets better ... and then India if the Mughals lose more territory

btw still not victory until the year 1750 ... about 3 years away ... mostly worried about Russia going after Dagestan again .. or a revolt somewhere
