Anyways, Ottomans lost control of Egypt in 1798, when Napoleon tried invading Egypt, but utterly failed against the Egyptians.

If the game was historically accurate. They would have an event where they say that Napolean tried invading Egypt. Egyptians defended and became independent from Ottoman. It would make sense since Mujammad Ali, Egypt's ruler after independence, actually fought some wats against the Ottomans in the middle east.

BTW this is a bit random, but my dad just told me. Egypt had to pay a tribute to the Ottoman Caliphate all the way till the Egyptian revolution of 1952 lol.

It was paid as a sign of respect to the Caliphate....even though Caliphate ended in 1923 and Egypt fought some wars against it.

I guess he did. Don't forget that Muhammad Ali was given rule of Egypt through the Ottomans. He was the one who established Egypt's monarchy. All rulers till 1952 were his descendants...so I see where this is coming from.

btw this game sucks cuz u can't sack or exterminate conquered lands

generals and family members have no retinue either ... well the monarch and ministers do ... but the monarch or leader doesn't fight in battles like the Sultan or King in M2TW
