What does fighting upon his own wealth for nearly a decade against the self admitted most "powerful (also pompous and arrogant) military" in the world reveal about his character?

Funny you said that last sentence Sayf. My AP World teacher sophomore year said the same thing.

He believed he was standing up for the Muslims who have been oppressed for centuries. He even once said his reason. He said that during the Lebanon-israel war in the 80s he would watch as israel would strike at schools at hospitals using US made weapons. So 9/11 was supposed to show the Americans how that felt like.

Furthermore, you know that Osama is rich right? He abandoned his millions to fight in what he believed.

I guess every person will view him differently.

This debate is clearly raised upon religion & patriotism. So this is pretty much bias.

But honestly, all he wanted was to restore the honor and dignity of the Muslims that had fallen so low. But in the grand scheme of things, are his attacks really not justified when America was putting sanctions on countries like Iraq in the 90s causing the death of over a million children?

meh I feel happy that he died (if he did) but when i first read the news article i thought it said obama dead so I was happy. then i read the bin laden part and i was a bit disappointed...

I don't care if someone dies or not. But we should make this world worth fighting for. A good first step would be not to be happy of one's death, but to support them as another human, no matter their history.

Good soldiers do deserve praise because they do what they're told and they serve their country. The media just concentrates on what the bad soldiers do. Unnecessary killing, raping, etc shouldn't be praised and those soldiers should burn in hell for it. Why do you always target a wide variety of people and label them all as one? You're no different from the American media at all.

I don't think Americans will agree with you. I don't think that any American will say that any soldier deserves to burn in hell. Do you think the US gov is not aware of what these "bad" soldiers do?
