Just do MD and put the work into it. Stop being lazy goddam. It's not a matter of being lazy. Either way I'll have to do crazy amoutns of work. I am currently speaking to someone who is in 2nd year of the Pharm program (I knew her since her High School days) and she is saying that she had to pull out many all nighters this year. It makes sense too since they are compressing 8 years of study into 6). I don't know why some people think Pharm is easy. Also, EVERY MD specializes. There's no "general" thing...Even being like a family doctor or something is specializing. I think by "general" they meant pediatrician...that's sort of the base.
It's a really simple decision.
You vs Your family I don't understand this one
Prestige vs No real recognition (face it, no need to sugarcoat it for yourself you'll regret it later) Was reading about this today. The reason why pharmacy didn't get "prestige" is that back then you could be a pharm with a bachelors. Today you need a Doctors of Pharmacy (Like a PhD). Today many pharmacists are becoming more and more involved with the health profession. Look up clinical pharmacy.
Stress vs..less stress I choose less stress obviously
If family doctor...then most of the local people would know and respect you (provided your a good doctor) vs the dude behind the counter who noone really cares about LOL common now! Now you are just Bashing. How could you say that when the pharmacist is known as the most accessible person in the health profession?? That's a fact. Furthermore, people don't usually hop from pharmacy to pharmacy. You stick with one.
Really that's all it boils down to...is your personal success more important or your family? I think either profession are successful jobs. Society needs both. Doctors need pharmacists. Pharmacists need doctors.
