My math teacher has given me an impossible hw task once more so I turn here for help. If I know sinø is 1/5 and ø is on the sec quadrant how do I find ø?

P.s ø = theta

Simple:

Solve for theta. You should get ~11.53. Add 90 to that. You get 101.536959 degrees.

find the inverse Sin of 1/5.. which is 11.53 degrees
then u know Sin is +ve in the 2nd quadrant so u do 180-11.53= 168.46 degrees

so theta= 11.53 degrees, and 168.46 degrees

not sure what u mean by the sec thing tho :S

Yeah, I think Pinky is right. I forgot that we subtract in the second quad.

I'm not sure exactly how to help you personally, but what I have found out is that everything you need to know about any class can be found on youtube..

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=theta+sin&aq=f

For instance I have a course about Asset Pricing which I didn't understand any single thing from class, but I really understood the concepts clearly by watching some youtube videos about the topic.
