Do you think that technology's cons outweigh its pros and benefits?

It all depends what technology it may be that you are talking about.
Computers:
Pros:Easily talk to others over the internet
Talk with people around the world
Play games
Research


Cons:Uses electricity
time consuming
bad for your eyes

Well let me put the question this way, "Would life be better without technology?"

It would be harder for more westernized people. But for most Egyptians who live in Egypt it wouldn't do much

As I said it would be better for people in poor countrys like Pakistan and worse for America and the U.K

Not really I think that technology's bad outweigh its good because it damages health and it makes people lazy .

Yes, but America and the U.K. depend on computers way too much. Most people make their money somehow or another with the use of computers. For example, stock marketers. They make a lot of money with computers

Yes that is why people in America are lazy. Technology also caused pollution BTW.

I agree with that.

That is 50/50. If you ask someone that is addicted to technology then the answer would be no. On the other hand, if you ask someone that prefers "old school" things. The answer would be yes.

I think no. The reason being is that technology is the only reason people are now living 70+ years. Though people in the olden days would only live to 40-50 years.

Technology being bad simply depends on what technology is being used and who is using that technology. In general, technology isn't all that bad.

Hello every one

Technology by it self is not bad. It provides a good pastime for we the humans. However, the way one uses technology will tell wether it is bad or good. For example, if you are using a fan, a heater, a fridge, or even a computer (which each one of us is using right now ) to benefit you , I don't think it is bad. However if you use technology to destroy, or against the good of humanity, than it is bad (like yello journalism, or even a nuclear bomb).

Regarding the point of wether or not it makes you lazy, it depends on the person! If you become too much fond or dependant of the technology, it might harm you in te long term.

Technology is helpful with many things such as mass-production of industrial goods, doing things which humans are physically incapable of doing (both in speed, precision and accuracy), connecting people from all over the world and making our lives more convenient; just to name a few.

However, a lot of these technologies have draw-backs. Computers, television and game consoles have become increasingly more common in households and popularity, but because of consistent usage, obesity rates, other health problems and severe addictions (mainly computer games) have and will lead to premature deaths and unwanted problems. It has also lead to a certain laziness among people and a reliance on technology for our everyday needs.

I believe that technology is good when used in moderation and when we don't become too dependent on doing things "the easy way" with the aid of technology. However, when it is constantly used, (for everything including work, entertainment) I think it certainly creates an unbalanced lifestyle which may lead to future set-backs.

Well as you said every technology has drawbacks so wouldn't it be for the "Greater Good" to remove all technology?
