Nothing really. I all my life thought I was "normal", till last week when I was doing a check-up with my new doctor, and he told me to take off my shirt and he saw that my sternum(breast bone) was sunk in. So basically if you could look at yourself from a birdseyes view from your head to you legs your body should be like an "O" , but mine was a closed "U". My doctor couldnt belive that my past doctor didnt notice this before, and he said my case was "severe" and that last victim of this disfugure was in the 1980s and he only had 3 patients that ever had this disease :s.
So he said this summer I need to do the sugery.
I also took x-ray exams for it, and luckily my the breast bone wasnt so sunk in as to be clsoe to my heart and lungs.

This disease basically is gotten 1 in every 10,000 people according to a study.
This surgery improves: restores the ability of patients to participate in full activities, . Also, there is a marked improvement in the patient's self image. And in posture
________________________
Oh ya and this disease shows up to a person around the puberty age.
Thats it...
_______________________________________________________________________
Thast the thing Steve, is that no one in my family or relatives has this disease...

Re: I know that....
most things skip a generation, and when you great-great granddad was alive they probably didn't recognise it as a problem. im not saying your wrong about the family history. Its just a lot of diseases weren't recognised in the past, i think it said hereditary anyway, i only read through it once :S. anyway for it to be so rare its probably also recessive so both your parents needed the recessive gene for you to be affected

Well Ahmed, I pray that everything will be allright after all, Insha Allah. If you ask me, just take your MP3 and listen to Sami Yusuf, especially the one we heard together on the train (I do not know what do you call it in Arabic. We call it a Hamd in Urdu!).
