the difference is that the pope, the unquestioned representative of catholicism is not acting strongly towards it and we see the church actually concealing evidence in order to protect these priests .. there is no unquestioned representative for Islam currently, only a khalifah would be that and there is no khalifah in existence today so you can' liken terrorism amongst Muslims with this ..

if they dont follow the teachings, they are not in my religion. if the pope does not do anything about it, he's to soft.

hey a pope is like the President, i dont like Obama so why should i need to like the pope? the only person who i see as above myself in my religion is god himself. as for cursing Islam that is also a mistake on his part, we both follow the same god, even if our teachings are a bit different, and instead should be striving for cooperation.

Anyways, the Church is really to blame for them. Not trying to offend you here Preid, read the entire post before getting angry. The thing with priests and what not, they have to vow celibacy so while Ministers have wives and whatnot, priests don't. As some of you guys can attest, that's pretty hard even if you do follow you're religion well, but after 40 years of life or longer, that's quite a long time of sexual urges that you're not allowed to satisfy so that pent up sexual frustration gets so great they can't control it and end up molesting someone.

Hence why the Church should stop making priests have to vow celibacy as long as they do it with a spouse. Though it also falls into a lack of self-discipline.

flame if you cannot control yourself you have no right being a priest. If they do molest someone it's a sin and they shall pay for it in pits.

If you can't control yourself you're human. There is a reason that people have sex outside of marriage and priests have the same feelings that adulterers and fornicators do.
