Taco Bell's food is nothing like Mexican food. Not even close. It's only influenced by a couple Mexican traditions.

Because they're made with regular American food, not traditional Mexican superdry corn tortillas with not-visually-appealing-mystery-meat. Tex-Mex and Mexican food have almost nil similarities, with Tex-Mex being about a thousand times better.
