So my friend, Taz, and I went to visit Columbia University (by subway) today. And...
IT WAS MASSIVE. It's like a city in itself! You could easily get lost in their campus and they have their own ambulance and everything pretty much. I must say I really enjoyed visiting their campus, it was beautiful. It had lots of plants and the temperature was very pleasant. I took a couple of pictures that I shall post later.
Later we took the subway and we went to Central Park. We started walking...eventually we found a zoo (surprisingly since I never knew a zoo existed there) then I cam up with the idea of climbing this mini-mountain then we walked again and eventually we got lost . While trying to backtrack I invited Taz for a drink (I drank a Sunkist bottle and he choose to buy Arizona Iced Tea)...and what a rip off...we had to pay a tourist price grr! So We came upon this compass that was engraved on the floor and I finally knew which way is South!! According to Google Maps that's on my phone we had to walk south to get out of the massive park. SO we kept on walking hoping to see civilization again and we got out, woot! Next we entered the Apple Store...it was packed crowded with people. It was an awesome store! Then it started raining so we went home
Today was fun
This is historical for me since this is the first time I traveled with a friend somewhere far.
