I have an ancestor named Andrew Mulhull whom i am trying to find out about, but unfortunately Google is not my friend in this situation. He was an unsung hero from around the time of the General Slocum, which he was actually a responder two. If anyone is any good at uncovering information about people do take a crack at it and i am willing to supply and information i can if you need it.

well Ahmed he had received a gift from the leader of china by catching Chinese immigrants trying to run away from home, he was also one of the responders to the General Slocum (my uncle actually has a roll of coins that melted together in that fire at his home). If i remember correctly he was also the most decorated police officer in new york for some time.

i may be able to dig his mothers last name up, but that would require digging into the family archives and that's not so easy.

i get my fathers last name, my last name is Reid. He was my Great Great grand father on the Reid side of the family so my great grandmother was his daughter.

I still fail to see how you ended up with a different last name IF he was from the Reid side of the family O_o.

ok, my great grand father marred his daughter and his last name is Reid, so his name is not passed on. when i say Reid side it's more like i am referring to my Irish side, for me and my brothers are the first non pure-blood Irish on this branch of the tree.
