@ Flame: As a teenager, and even during my university years, I always thought the same as you.

However now that I'm searching for a job, I actually only now discovered that all of their decisions were for my good and for me to have a better life and future.

So whatever you may think now, you will find later that it was for your own benefit whether you realize it or not.

Or else in the future, you will say I wish I had listened to them.. Like the situation I am in right now..

I wish I had studied better.
I wish I had never smoked
I wish I had been a better person, etc..

same here, sometimes there a pain in the butt though i still love them to death

I've never managed to love my family though. No idea why. I feel pity for them at best when they're sad but never love. And they're more than just a pain. They restrict me from doing things that I know are good for me and when I need to get some fresh air because my family is too stressful they stop me.

I know exactly what's bad and what's not for me. The bad things that I choose to ignore my family has no control over.

Let's see, wake up, brother shouts at me. When I get back in my room to get my clothes my brother doesn't get out. I get dressed in the bathroom. Go down to eat. A bit more shouting with my brother. My dad or mom then gets angry at me and shouts at me. They've once threatened to call the police if I don't wear a raincoat when it was barely raining.

Fastforward past school which is usually okay. My mom isn't home. If she is, I usually don't talk to her much. At around 4 PM I go outside to hang with my friends for an hour or two. When I get home my dad shouts at me, my mom nags me, my brother is an ass to me. By the time it's 8 or 9, I'm starting my homework while watching a new episode.

Weekends are usually filled with shouting from the time I wake until I fall asleep. Going outside is my only refuge on those days.

But really. Forget your brother. He'll eventually mature. You should talk to your mom more.

My parents don't really understand. Whenever I try to talk to them about it, my gets all sad and my dad gets angry and thinks I'm disrespecting him.

And nah Ahmed, I finished my homework at like 4 today because my dad decided to be worse and set up a rule that I can't go outside unless I finished my homework.

That's not your dad being worst bro. It's for your good. It guarantee that you'll finish your HW.

By the way, it's hard talking to my dad too sometimes. But that doesn't mean that you should just cut off all contact with them.

My homework isn't hard or that important. I can finish it in around half an hour at the most which is why I start it so late.

And fifi, I'd never leave my family, simply because they're all I know. I know I'll leave for a dorm as soon as possible but until college, I'm going to stay with my family. After that, it'll be roommates or a family of my own.

So if it is that easy, then just do it lol!

Anyways, as Gman said, as you age, you will start looking at your family with different eyes.
