Someone very close to me has died...My uncle was on a boat and accidentally fell off and drowned. He was the only person in my family whom I actually liked...My mom is pretty wrecked, so I might or might not be on for a while. My grandma might die from shock too. I don't know when the funeral is, but it probably be in a few weeks.

Anyway, the story changed a little bit. See, I made this post a few minutes after I heard what had happened. But apparently, my uncle was never on a boat, he was just on the docks. My grandfather, who was best friends with my uncle, had just left a few minutes before to go get lunch. He also says my uncle was a good swimmer, so people are saying he might have had a heart attack or a stroke and just fell in the water. Hopefully his death was instant and painless, cause I think drowning is a terrible way to die...

Yes it is...if he is a good swimmer, than it was probably something else.

Back. Over 40 people attended his funeral. There were sailors, people from every branch of the US military, retired policemen, and even a guy that hadn't seen my uncle in 40 years. The two were just in a band together in 1969, and somehow he had gotten word that my uncle had passed away. In the middle of the funeral, my uncle's wife read a little from his journal as a child. Apparently, he had always wanted a pet monkey named Floyd.
